Dr. Iezman’s path to orthodontics began at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Biology. He went on to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. On graduation, UCSF invited him to join the faculty, where he taught oral radiology and emergency dental care. After practicing general dentistry for two years, he returned to UCSF for his Orthodontic Specialty Residency, completing the advanced training that makes an orthodontist a specialist rather than a general dentist.

When he is not straightening smiles, Dr. Iezman is usually outdoors or on stage. He is an avid scuba diver, surfer, backpacker, skier, snowboarder, and fisherman. He is also a longtime drummer who still plays in his blues and rock band, The Fabulous Biotones.
